Heritage Lock Repairs - UK Locksmith
I have been a working locksmith for the last 20 years, serving an apprenticeship for several years, completing a Master Locksmith Qualification 15 years ago and then eventually branching out, to pursue my passion for heritage locks and keys. These old locks are often show pieces for the high quality craftsman employed over the years and sadly are becoming rarer and rarer. Working on these locks and restoring these small pieces of history, is a real privilege and using the traditional lockmithing techniques we can sympathetically reinstate locks to working order in many churches, historic houses and listed buildings.

After completing a degree, working in various customer focused sectors and then bringing up a young family, I am now Richard’s partner in the business (and in life!) and take care of the administration, finance and marketing for the business.
Traditional Methods
We believe that these precious locks deserve to be worked on using the age old methods, originally employed when they were first handcrafted. Key saws, specialist tools and forged blanks are used to hand cut keys to their original specification. The keys can then be given an aged patina to help them to blend sympathetically with the heritage locks.

We can service and repair heritage locks, manufacture new internal parts where needed and restore them back to working order. The quality of workmanship in these old locks is a pleasure to see and a privilege to restore.
